Bubacz’s Underground Café and Signature Brew Coffee Roastery

 is the vision of Jackson County local

 and WCU Graduate John Bubacz.  

Bubacz started the business in 2001 in Cullowhee. 

His belief is that everyone needs wholesome  

 food to be healthy Mentally, Physically, and 

Spiritually.

The Underground’s 

breakfast and lunch menus include locally

 grown and organic ingredients 

to meet that wholesome need. 

 The Underground 

is located in a 1940’s barber shop

 (formerly Wimpy’s Barber shop).. 

Today, it has transformed into a favorite

 hangout for many locals

and visitors too.  

The free wireless internet is added

 for your technological convenience

 while the antique marble hair stations 

and mirrors still remain for nostalgic pleasure.
